Stakeholder Insights: Joshua Henning on Empowering Rural Youth

On Novem­ber 10, Joshua Hen­ning, youth coor­di­na­tor with­in the Char­ter of Euro­pean Rur­al Com­mu­ni­ties and Pres­i­dent of the Friends of Europe Hep­st­edt Asso­ci­a­tion, joined a Zoom meet­ing to dis­cuss the ”Youth in Europe” project.

After an intro­duc­tion to the pro­jec­t’s objec­tives and activ­i­ties, Joshua shared his per­spec­tive on the impor­tance of EU-fund­ed ini­tia­tives, par­tic­u­lar­ly ERASMUS+, in sup­port­ing rur­al youth. He expressed a strong inter­est in incor­po­rat­ing the project’s tools and resources into his future work to enhance oppor­tu­ni­ties for young peo­ple in rur­al com­mu­ni­ties. Joshua also empha­sized his enthu­si­asm for par­tic­i­pat­ing in more ERASMUS+ projects to fur­ther empow­er rur­al youth.
