ASOCIACIÓN INICIATIVA INTERNACIONAL JOVEN (SPAIN)


Aso­ciación Ini­cia­ti­va Inter­na­cional Joven (Youth Inter­na­tion­al Ini­tia­tive Asso­ci­a­tion) is an NGO from Mála­ga (Spain) cre­at­ed in 2003 from a group of youths who after par­tic­i­pat­ing in inter­na­tion­al pro­grammes and activ­i­ties, con­clud­ed that these expe­ri­ences had been very impor­tant to change their life. There­fore, they decid­ed to share them with oth­er young peo­ple, col­lec­tives and asso­ci­a­tions, to enhance the inter­est in par­tic­i­pat­ing in inter­na­tion­al pro­grams and exchanges, learn­ing lan­guages, real­iz­ing vol­un­tary work, rais­ing aware­ness, tol­er­ance and respect for oth­er cul­tures, etc. there­by con­tribut­ing to per­son­al and pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment of young peo­ple and adults. The mis­sion of the organ­i­sa­tion is to con­tribute to the com­pre­hen­sive devel­op­ment and improve­ment of the qual­i­ty of life of cit­i­zens, espe­cial­ly young peo­ple. We work at local and inter­na­tion­al lev­el in the fol­low­ing areas of inter­ven­tion: (1) Par­tic­i­pa­tion and Vol­un­teer­ing; (2) Cul­ture of Peace and Inter­cul­tur­al­i­ty; (3) Gen­der Equal­i­ty; (4) Sport and Healthy Life; (5) Art and Cre­ativ­i­ty; (6) Per­son­al devel­op­ment and entre­pre­neur­ship.


 

ASOCIACIJA AKTYVISTAI (LITHUANIA)


Aso­ciaci­ja Aktyvis­tai is an asso­ci­a­tion from Kau­nas (Lithua­nia) found­ed in 2013 from a group of peo­ple who felt the need to devel­op their ideas and ini­tia­tives in the frame­work of leisure and free time. Its pur­pose is to con­tribute to the per­son­al and pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment of peo­ple and soci­ety, in gen­er­al, and of youth, in par­tic­u­lar, through activ­i­ties based on non-for­mal edu­ca­tion. The main top­ics they work on are: healthy liv­ing, sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, envi­ron­men­tal aware­ness, pro­mo­tion of human rights, pro­mo­tion of vol­un­teer­ing, pro­mo­tion of sports activ­i­ties (bas­ket­ball and canoe­ing) and social entre­pre­neur­ship. Aktyvis­tai pre­pares, imple­ments and eval­u­ates dif­fer­ent activ­i­ties and projects both local­ly and inter­na­tion­al­ly. The main tar­get groups of the organ­i­sa­tion are young peo­ple and pro­fes­sion­als in the youth field, but its activ­i­ties are open to all groups and indi­vid­u­als. Aktyvis­tai is a mem­ber of the Inter­na­tion­al Net­work for Expe­ri­en­tial Learn­ing, the Anna Lindh Foun­da­tion and the glob­al inter­con­ti­nen­tal busi­ness net­work BNI.


 

FRIENDS OF EUROPE TISNO (CROATIA)


Friends of Europe Tis­no is an asso­ci­a­tion found­ed in 2018 fol­low­ing the pos­i­tive exam­ple of sis­ter organ­i­sa­tions in oth­er mem­ber coun­tries of the Char­ter of Euro­pean Rur­al Com­mu­ni­ties. It brings togeth­er local peo­ple who are enthu­si­as­tic and will­ing to spread Euro­pean val­ues at local lev­el and pro­mote their own her­itage across the con­ti­nent. The organ­i­sa­tion aims to pro­mote sol­i­dar­i­ty among the pop­u­la­tion, to devel­op activ­i­ties and projects that raise the qual­i­ty of life of the local com­mu­ni­ty, to improve inter­na­tion­al rela­tions and to estab­lish part­ner­ships with oth­er asso­ci­a­tions and organ­i­sa­tions that pro­mote Euro­pean val­ues and prin­ci­ples. One of the main tasks of the asso­ci­a­tion is to enable local cit­i­zens to estab­lish con­tacts and friend­ships with peo­ple from oth­er munic­i­pal­i­ties all over Europe. In fact, the asso­ci­a­tion coop­er­ates with the Munic­i­pal­i­ty of Tis­no in organ­is­ing bilat­er­al and mul­ti­lat­er­al meet­ings with rep­re­sen­ta­tives of oth­er coun­tries and in the cel­e­bra­tion and com­mem­o­ra­tion of rel­e­vant local, Euro­pean and inter­na­tion­al events (e.g. Europe Day, Anniver­sary of Croa­t­i­a’s acces­sion to the EU, Inter­na­tion­al Day of Tol­er­ance, etc.).


 

TRAVELOGUE ASSOCIAZIONE DI PROMOZIONE SOCIALE (ITALY)


Trav­el­ogue is a non-prof­it orga­ni­za­tion that has been work­ing to pro­mote the Umbria region and the ter­ri­to­ry of Cen­tral Italy since 2010. After start­ing with the orga­ni­za­tion of projects and the­mat­ic itin­er­aries to pro­mote the region of Umbria and its beau­ties to a local and inter­na­tion­al pub­lic, the asso­ci­a­tion is cur­rent­ly devel­op­ing activ­i­ties to pro­mote Euro­pean part­ner­ships, knowl­edge exchange between indi­vid­u­als and insti­tu­tions, career guid­ance activ­i­ties for young peo­ple and adults and oppor­tu­ni­ties to par­tic­i­pate in edu­ca­tion­al mobil­i­ty projects at Euro­pean lev­el. Its activ­i­ties are relat­ed to the fol­low­ing top­ics: sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, eco­tourism, envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion, social entre­pre­neur­ship, social inclu­sion, employ­a­bil­i­ty, devel­op­ment of skills and com­pe­tences for young peo­ple and adults.


 

DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES (IRELAND)


Devel­op­ment Per­spec­tive is an NGO found­ed in 2009 with the mis­sion of address­ing pover­ty, inequal­i­ty and cli­mate change through trans­for­ma­tive edu­ca­tion and active glob­al cit­i­zen­ship in order to build an equi­table, fair and sus­tain­able world.
The enti­ty has a long his­to­ry in edu­ca­tion for devel­op­ment and glob­al cit­i­zen­ship edu­ca­tion through par­tic­i­pa­to­ry, expe­ri­en­tial and trans­for­ma­tive learn­ing meth­ods in the youth and adult edu­ca­tion sec­tor. Oth­er activ­i­ties it car­ries out are relat­ed to the pro­mo­tion and aware­ness of the Sus­tain­able Devel­op­ment Goals (SDGs), inter­cul­tur­al­i­ty, human rights, glob­al lead­er­ship and the pro­mo­tion of debate through crit­i­cal think­ing and the empow­er­ment of informed action. It has a team of 10 pro­fes­sion­als who work in areas such as project coor­di­na­tion, training/facilitation, research, pub­lic par­tic­i­pa­tion, finance and gov­er­nance. DP has par­tic­i­pat­ed in many EU-fund­ed projects and it is a mem­ber of the GLEN group (Glob­al Youth Edu­ca­tion Net­work in Europe).
