ASOCIACIÓN INICIATIVA INTERNACIONAL JOVEN (SPAIN)
Asociación Iniciativa Internacional Joven (Youth International Initiative Association) is an NGO from Málaga (Spain) created in 2003 from a group of youths who after participating in international programmes and activities, concluded that these experiences had been very important to change their life. Therefore, they decided to share them with other young people, collectives and associations, to enhance the interest in participating in international programs and exchanges, learning languages, realizing voluntary work, raising awareness, tolerance and respect for other cultures, etc. thereby contributing to personal and professional development of young people and adults. The mission of the organisation is to contribute to the comprehensive development and improvement of the quality of life of citizens, especially young people. We work at local and international level in the following areas of intervention: (1) Participation and Volunteering; (2) Culture of Peace and Interculturality; (3) Gender Equality; (4) Sport and Healthy Life; (5) Art and Creativity; (6) Personal development and entrepreneurship.
ASOCIACIJA AKTYVISTAI (LITHUANIA)
Asociacija Aktyvistai is an association from Kaunas (Lithuania) founded in 2013 from a group of people who felt the need to develop their ideas and initiatives in the framework of leisure and free time. Its purpose is to contribute to the personal and professional development of people and society, in general, and of youth, in particular, through activities based on non-formal education. The main topics they work on are: healthy living, sustainable development, environmental awareness, promotion of human rights, promotion of volunteering, promotion of sports activities (basketball and canoeing) and social entrepreneurship. Aktyvistai prepares, implements and evaluates different activities and projects both locally and internationally. The main target groups of the organisation are young people and professionals in the youth field, but its activities are open to all groups and individuals. Aktyvistai is a member of the International Network for Experiential Learning, the Anna Lindh Foundation and the global intercontinental business network BNI.
FRIENDS OF EUROPE TISNO (CROATIA)
Friends of Europe Tisno is an association founded in 2018 following the positive example of sister organisations in other member countries of the Charter of European Rural Communities. It brings together local people who are enthusiastic and willing to spread European values at local level and promote their own heritage across the continent. The organisation aims to promote solidarity among the population, to develop activities and projects that raise the quality of life of the local community, to improve international relations and to establish partnerships with other associations and organisations that promote European values and principles. One of the main tasks of the association is to enable local citizens to establish contacts and friendships with people from other municipalities all over Europe. In fact, the association cooperates with the Municipality of Tisno in organising bilateral and multilateral meetings with representatives of other countries and in the celebration and commemoration of relevant local, European and international events (e.g. Europe Day, Anniversary of Croatia’s accession to the EU, International Day of Tolerance, etc.).
TRAVELOGUE ASSOCIAZIONE DI PROMOZIONE SOCIALE (ITALY)
Travelogue is a non-profit organization that has been working to promote the Umbria region and the territory of Central Italy since 2010. After starting with the organization of projects and thematic itineraries to promote the region of Umbria and its beauties to a local and international public, the association is currently developing activities to promote European partnerships, knowledge exchange between individuals and institutions, career guidance activities for young people and adults and opportunities to participate in educational mobility projects at European level. Its activities are related to the following topics: sustainable development, ecotourism, environmental protection, social entrepreneurship, social inclusion, employability, development of skills and competences for young people and adults.
DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES (IRELAND)
Development Perspective is an NGO founded in 2009 with the mission of addressing poverty, inequality and climate change through transformative education and active global citizenship in order to build an equitable, fair and sustainable world.
The entity has a long history in education for development and global citizenship education through participatory, experiential and transformative learning methods in the youth and adult education sector. Other activities it carries out are related to the promotion and awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), interculturality, human rights, global leadership and the promotion of debate through critical thinking and the empowerment of informed action. It has a team of 10 professionals who work in areas such as project coordination, training/facilitation, research, public participation, finance and governance. DP has participated in many EU-funded projects and it is a member of the GLEN group (Global Youth Education Network in Europe).
