Stakeholder Insights: Kornelija Barešić on EU Projects

On October 15, Kornelija Barešić, a pedagogue at Spužvica Kindergarten, met with the President of the host organization in Jezera as part of the Mapping of Stakeholders initiative. The meeting was organized by Friends of Europe Tisno, project partners committed to fostering community engagement.

While Kornelija doesn’t work directly with youth daily, her experience with EU-funded projects and role as a pedagogical advisor have been invaluable. She highlighted the lack of awareness about EU opportunities in her rural community and praised recent initiatives at her kindergarten for improving understanding of the EU’s benefits. She emphasized the importance of such projects in fostering engagement and strengthening connections between citizens and the EU.
