A Memorable Day at the European Parliament for Youth in Europe Participants
Yesterday was an exciting and enriching day for the Youth in Europe project participants, as they had the incredible opportunity to visit the European Parliament in Brussels. The day included a special meeting with Member of the European Parliament Camilla Laureti, where the winning videos of the contest "United by the Knowledge of Europe" were presented.
Each winner had the chance to share their experience and explain how the project helped them better understand European values and institutions, contributing to their growth as informed citizens.
The group also had the privilege of meeting Biliana Sirakova, coordinator at the European Commission for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture. This meeting provided valuable insights into the European Union's work in promoting youth engagement and education across Europe.
To conclude the day, participants visited the European Economic and Social Committee to learn about its role and functions within the European Union. This visit allowed them to see firsthand how different EU institutions work together to ensure the smooth functioning of the Union.
This experience served as a powerful reminder of the importance of being active and informed
citizens, highlighting the significance of the Youth in Europe project in empowering young people
to engage with Europe’s democratic processes.
